The goal of the course

To learn words, sentences, requests and questions within family conversation and everyday speech.

The course includes approx 1200 words (common words in the family) and the students have a possibility to learn all the words through practicing the dictionary, sentences and farces, listen to audio recordings , write and communicate with the coach, other students, within the family and in social settings.


Purpose of the course.

To help the families take advantage of the children's possibilities to become multilingual and to strengthen the communication within the family.

Give the fathers training in talking and understanding Swedish in the every day communication in the family.

Strengthen the children’s language and cultural identity abroad.

Strengthen the Swedish language and the Swedish culture in "Swedish" children who live in other countries.

Contents:

The course includes 10 weeks and is distributed via Internet complimented with sound and text on a cd.

The course is focusing on spoken Swedish i communicative form.

The grammar is approached if necessary. Questions will be taken by the coach.

There will be a communicative practice program each week.

Instructions for the students will be available in Swedish and English.

The student can study and practice on his own time.

 

What will be demanded from me as a student?

It is up to the individual student to keep up with the material that is presented in the class room on line, and to follow the course outline.

To get most out of the course you should spend approx 3 hours a week of which a minimum of 2 hours should be online in the class room (you determine when and how long you would like to study and follow the course outline) plus as much time as you like practicing with your family and friends. Everything is done over the computer so you are the one deciding when you want to study! Very flexible for a modern dad!
